Over my 20+ year career, I've poured my heart and soul into my band, The Grift, crafting a catalog of nearly 100 original songs between all of my projects. I genuinely love every band and musician I play with, and I still get a thrill from playing solo, as a duo, or with my current solo project, Clint Bierman & Friends. 🎶
My solo journey began in 1998 with my first CD, $6 Sunglasses. Alongside my long-time friend and co-producer Wil Rothman, the incredible Braddigan (of Dispatch fame) on drums, and early Grift member Rian Alfiero, we recorded it in Wil's NYC apartment. We also laid down some tracks at Lakewest Recording with another early Grift member, Neil Anders Matthews, who even brought us pizza! Honestly, we were just winging it—I played most of the instruments, and it sounds pretty rough. But it was a proud, professional start, and there's some truly funny stuff in there.
Then in 2011, I released Click, an album with my band Clint Bierman & The Necessary Means. To this day, it remains one of my proudest accomplishments. We captured the magic of that record in just two days, recording most of it live at Signal Kitchen in Burlington, VT with my good friend and producer Dave DeCristo.
I also released a single in 2019 called Think It Through, and my Christmas song, Star on My Tree, in 2022. A Christmas Star (The Bierman Bros, 2020) with my two boys, Ty and Sam, is also a favorite of mine. Watching them grow as musicians is one of my greatest joys.
Stay tuned, as I'm always working on new music. Thanks so much for following along!
