My Story

I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but I have lived a number of places including Colorado, Massachusetts and a few places in Vermont before landing in the Champlain Valley of Vermont with my wife and 2 boys.

I am a multi instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and band leader. I have been performing professionally for 20+ years and started my longest running project, The Grift, with Jeff Vallone in 1999. Since then, I have recorded 10 original albums with Grift members past and present, and continue to collaborate with these musicians today. Aside from The Grift, you can catch me playing with Dojo, HoneywellHug Your Farmer All Star Band, Treetop Mansion, Clint Bierman & The Necessary Means and many other bands. I also co-wrote a musical in 2014 (My Post-Traumatic Cruise Ship Cabaret – with The Grift and Dana Yeaton). One of my other big musical breaks was when I co-wrote a song on the Shrek 2 soundtrack ("I’m On My Way" with Rich Price). Finally, I really enjoy playing in countless other bands and projects as a hired gun.

I am a co-owner of LionTone Studio, a professional recording studio in Middlebury, Vermont. I also spend a bunch of time working at Sugarhouse Soundworks in Waitsfield, Vermont as another home base. I have also recorded and produced in a number of other studios over the years in this business. I am also the founder and co-owner of GlennSource Records and Two Sides Music, my two  independent record labels where I like to help up and coming artists. Make sure to check out my music production and engineering page - and get in touch if you think I can help you with your music.

In my increasingly small amount of spare time, I also run a week-long rock music crash course for kids 12+ years old at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury during February break. Kids hone their songwriting skills, learn how to work with a band, and finish the week with a Friday night concert.

In addition to my music, I am also involved in various projects related to film and video. I also co-host a podcast about music and life called The Age Old Question with my long time friend and collaborator, Rich Price. I co-invented a backyard frisbee game called Shweebee that is a ton of fun. Check it out as we are getting into the final stages of bringing it to the market. Finally, I am a very involved father and member of my local community.

I am very blessed with all of my good fortunes, but I like the saying "The harder I work, the luckier I seem to get". I am always going a mile a minute, which is the way I like it. I hope to see you soon, and I can't thank you enough for the support on all of my projects.
